The Racial Healing Project is a program operated by Global Marketplace, a non-profit advocate for economic justice. We call this the Racial Healing Project because we believe racism is a disease and we all need to heal.

Global Marketplace is dedicated to achieving economic justice for everyone. Prejudice (and in particular racism) is one of the principle reasons many people cannot get a good education and then find productive work.

Our Racial Healing Project consists of three programs. We welcome your participation in each program:

  1. Conversations on Racial Healing – A Safe Place to Talk about Race.

In this program, people of all races meet twice a month at the Sisters of Mercy Conference Center in Auburn, California, to talk about race. Two facilitators lead the group, using materials based on the book “Racial Healing: The Institutes for the Healing of Racism.”  We are planning more discussion groups in Rocklin and other Placer County locations soon. For more information about this program and how (if you live near Auburn, CA) you can participate click on the link in the drop down menu for this section – Conversations on Racial Healing

2. Posting stories of racial healing on social media including Facebook and also on this website’s blog. For more information about this program click on the link at the top of this page – Like Us, Follow Us

3. Visits to local community organizations, as part of their regular meeting program, presenting information about our Racial Healing Project and how they can help and be involved. If you would like to more information about this program and how you can invite a team to present a program to your group click on the link in the drop down menu for this section – Community Organization Program
