Global Marketplace is working with the ArtCamp Association in Mexico to use the Internet to help it market the jewelry made by its members. Here is what we are doing now; PURCHASE JEWELRY - We place on our web site the images of the jewelry we want them to make, along with other instructions. Just click "SPECIAL ORDERS" on the left side of this page to see an example. We then use email to confirm the purchase and make arrangements for it to be shipped. SELL JEWELRY - We have sites in Yahoo Shopping, ebay, Amazon, and others that directly sell their jewelry to the public and to retailers. ACCEPT PAYMENTS: When ArtCamp sells jewelry anywhere in the world the buyer can come to our site and using a credit card can pay for the order. We then send a check to ArtCamp's US based checking account. What we are planning for the future; ART CAMP SHIPPING DIRECTLY TO WHOLESALERS AND RETAILERS In the near future we are planning to feature collections of pre made and made to order jewelry made by ArtCamp. Using our wholesale site we will market this jewelry directly to wholesalers and retailers via our site in Yahoo Shopping and Wholesale Central. ArtCamp will ship directly to the buyers. The buyer will pay about 1/2 the normal price for these items, since they will be shipped directly from producer to buyer. Because the price is lower, ArtCamp will sell more jewelry. When they sell more jewelry they will raise their standard of living above the poverty line. This is possible because of the Internet. |
